Energy savings and the environment
FOAMGLAS® cellular glass insulation is an environmentally sound, socially responsible, and economically beneficial choice for your industrial or commercial application.
FOAMGLAS® cellular glass insulation is 100 percent glass. It is an insulating material composed of millions of completely sealed glass cells. It is manufactured from sand, limestone, and other abundantly available, natural occurring materials, as well as recycled glass content., either from our own scrap or from post-industrial glass.
Technological advances in foaming and continuous modernization of the manufacturing infrastructure have greatly improved the efficiency of the manufacturing process. Post-industrial recycled glass, gained exclusively from the automotive and construction industries and/or internally recycled glass content, are diverted from landfill and used to minimize energy consumption and optimize manufacturing efficiency.
Used FOAMGLAS® as loose fill material
FOAMGLAS® cellular glass insulation contains no organic or inorganic binders. It is free from environmentally damaging substances, such as CFC and HCFC. FOAMGLAS® insulation is ecologically sound, not only in its production, but also in its use and eventual disposal.
FOAMGLAS® insulation has an exceptional durability. After many years in service, both the physical and thermal properties of this material have proven to remain constant. Real payback, in physical and thermal performance, for many years, is what our customers have come to expect from the global FOAMGLAS® insulation team.
